2005
Initial studies on the topic of “suffering from love” revealed that 33% of respondents feel unhappy due to love or unrequited love. Heartache has a significant impact on health and well-being. This sparked the desire to develop a solution.
2006
A comprehensive review of the scientific literature on the development and neurological causes of love, attachment, romantic stress, romantic breakups, and problematic attachments (such as stalking and jealousy) began (). Neurotransmitters play a crucial role.
2008
Based on these findings, substances for a natural formulation were researched and selected. The specialized formula addresses the increased need for micronutrients to help overcome attachment, replenish neurotransmitters, support mood, and maintain normal psychological and mental functions.
2009
Amorex was launched as a “tablet to support people through heartbreak and separation” and became available in all pharmacies.

At the time, there was little public awareness of the topic “suffering from love.” The Amorex poster campaign “Out of Love” inspired Peter Turrini to write a play of the same name.
